Welcome
The Ontario Pedorthic Regulation Exploratory Group (OPREG) is a group devoted to the objective of becoming a provincially regulated health profession.
In order to achieve our goal, we will work with the Ontario Ministry of Health (MOHLTC), the Health Professions Regulatory Advisory Council (HPRAC), the Pedorthic Association of Canada (PAC) and The College of Pedorthics of Canada (CPC).
In May 2008 Ontario pedorthists voted in favour of pursuing regulation. This vote allowed us to move forward and we formally entered into the regulation process by submitting a letter of intent to the Minister of Health. We also submitted a formal request to HPRAC asking to be involved in consultations on the review of the foot-care model in Ontario. Both letters received a positive response to confirm that the formalized process has begun and that OPREG will be a stakeholder involved in consultations on the review of the foot-care model in Ontario.
This website will keep you up-to-date on the current events and information related to the pursuit of regulation. Please visit regularly to review the latest news regarding this process.
Thanks for visiting and please feel free to contact the OPREG committee should you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,

Matthew Quattrociocchi,
OPREG Chair
